These premium, top grain European cowhides are aniline dyed and have a transparent topical finish protecting them against some staining and some moisture absorption. All the colors are created from the initial dying stage. No shadings or stains are added to the surface: therefore there is nothing to obscure the natural shadings and typical surface irregularities. The lack of added pigments, along with the milling that is done creates the inherent softness to these high quality hides. As a result all of the natural markings will be evident and are to be cherished as unique as leather is. | ||||
